List of Ingredients

  • 100 g Onion
  • 1.5 L Water
  • 0.5 tsp Chili Powder
  • 0.5 tsp Turmeric
  • 1 tsp Cumin
  • 8 unit Garlic
  • 200 g Tomato
  • 200 g Kidney Beans
  • 1 tbsp Salt
  • 1 unit Ginger
  • 1 unit Green Chilli

    soak 200 g kidney beans in 1300 ml water overnight

    next day , drain soaked water

    rinse the beans again

    drain them and keep aside

    chop the veggies-. onions, tomatoes,ginger, garlic, green chilli.keep aside

    in a pressure cooker add beans along chopped onions, tomatoes, ginger, garlic, green chillies

    Add spices- 1 tsp cumin seeds, 1/2 chili powder, 1/2 turmeric powder and 1 tsp salt

    pour 600 ml water

    stir very well

    add 2 tbsp oil and stir again

    cover tightly and pressure cook for 20 whistles on high flame

    once beans cooked, check gravy and continue to simmer for thick gravy

    keep cooker on stove without lid on low flame

    stir well and serve red kidney beans
