Add gooseberry along chickpeas in pressure cooker to get dark colour of chickpeas , pour 3 cups of water

add salt and stir very well

cook channa for 13 whistles

Add all spices - black cardamoms, green cardamoms,cloves, carom seeds, cumin seeds,coriander,fennel seeds, dry pomegranate seeds, bay leaf , until they became golden brown

Add 2 tbsp oil in a pan also ginger and garlic

Add chopped onions and tomato along chilli powder and turmeric

Add green chillies to onion - tomato mixture

Add cooked and drained chickpeas and stir well

Add salt and water if required According to your taste

Add mango powder and stir well .
Channa Masala( Chickpeas) are ready to serve
